Constructing Excellence Liverpool
excellence in collaboration in Liverpool
Alder Hey in the Park is due to open its doors in September 2015 and with a 117 week programme will become the largest hospital on this scale that Laing O’Rourke has built to date. This state of the art facility will have 270 beds – 75% of which will be single occupancy and en-suite, and 16 theatres and will allow Alder Hey to deliver world class care for over 270,000 children a year. It has been developed using Laing O’Rourke’s DfMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) strategy and is the first hospital to be built in a park in the Northern hemisphere.
